A Workshop on Materials characterisation, data standardisation and digitalisation- 20 Nov 2024

The nanoMECommons Project (www.nanomecommons.net) is pleased to announce its 2nd Exploitation and Dissemination Open Day Workshop. This hybrid event is being held in Cambridge, UK.

Location: Homerton College, Hills Road, Cambridge, CB2 8PH, UK – (Hybrid meeting)
Date: Wednesday, 20 November 2024

NanoMECommons is establishing a transnational and multidisciplinary research and innovation network to tackle the problem of nanomechanical materials characterisation in multiple industries.  The aim of the project is to create improved interoperability and traceability of data, and offer protocols for multi-technique, multi-scale characterisations of mechanical properties in a range of industrially relevant sectors. The project is also creating novel tools for data sharing and focusing on developing specific ontologies and standardised data documentation.

Participation is free but registration is required. For more information and registration to this event, please visit the dedicated page of the Open Day on the project website,  following this link.

MatCharEXPO Community has been launched

We are pleased to announce the launch of the MatCharEXPO community platform. The MatCharEXPO has been developed during the H2020 funded project OYSTER. Following the end of the project in 2022, the MatCharEXPO Community has been open to the partners outside the OYSTER Project and it has been constantly growing.

The MatCharEXPO is a community platform developed and managed by Cambridge Nanomaterials Technology Ltd (CNT Ltd), and its Brussels based sister company CNT Innovation, with the aim to support commercialisation of the materials characterisation, instrumentation, procedures, and data management.

This community gives its members, the opportunity to learn about progress in the development in materials characterisation and data environment, through the different annual workshops and newsletters. It also provides a platform to exchange experience and discuss issues in materials characterization and data management, between technology developers in industry and researchers in academia.

The MatCharEXPO provides to its members, a platform to showcase their companies in a dedicated virtual EXPO booth, access reports, attend and present at the annual conferences.
